On your first day of class please arrive 10 minutes early to introduce yourself and pick up equipment.
Eat something lite before class, fuel your body.
Bring a bag of snack for you to get extra fuel or a small o.j. to sip, Outdoors Only.
Bring bottle of water, maybe two for hydration.
Wear the appropriate outfit for the weather.
Wear a bolder holder. That is a bra that supports you BIG time. Breasts that bounce can hurt the tissue let alone your breasts will get saggy sooner.
If you have incontinence, wear black and use a bit of protection. Don’t let this be your problem.
Do not hang a diaper bag, coat, or blanket on the handle bar of your stroller. It can cause it to tip and toggle in the wheels. Also you need to have full control of your stroller! Put all of your “stuff” in the bottom basket of your stroller. If it does not fit, you are bringing too much stuff. Leave the crib at home!
Bring a soft pack of “Too Go Ice” just in case you hurt yourself and we can apply ice right away, if you really want to be prepared bring a first aid kit.
Always strap baby into the stroller, learn to make this a habit, even when you go out shopping.
You will learn how to cross the street safely with a stroller in class.
No umbrellas on strollers. Use a stroller shade instead. Umbrellas catch the wind.
Wear sunscreen! Especially on your hands. Also wear sunglasses so you do not get early eye wrinkles our trainers will keep the class in the shade as much as possible.
No cell phones used during cardio. Put all rings on low or vibrate.
Toddlers may not get out of the stroller until we start the last “plyometric” section.
If you hear a trainer say “Scene of a Struggle”, that means they see something dangerous ahead. So listen to your instructor.
Minimize Mommy Chatter. You may still talk to your new mommy friends but realize you may be missing fitness tips to keep you safe and away from injury.
If you want to leave class early you need to be excused. Do NOT just leave. The trainer will take note and call it in when the trainer reports the class.
If you need to breastfeed the baby. No worries raise your hand and the instructor will pull a “mobile tation” and you can do your mommy thing. The trainer has been trained to keep the other mommies moving. Sit back, let the baby snack and watch the magic of an Instructor. Please do not worry that you are holding up the class. This is what we are all about. WE are all in this together.
It takes three classes for baby to get familiar with the class. The first class you may be watching and holding the baby. This is normal but you listen and watch your trainer this is not wasted time.
It takes a new mom, which is most every mom that comes to Mom, Body and Stroll about five classes to get on the road to fitness! Be patient with yourself.
If you have any problems, tips, we even take positive emails, feel free to send them our way. We try hard to make the class work for you and baby.
